President Joe Biden accidentally took a jab at former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a fundraising event on Tuesday.

Speaking at the “We Are EMILY” fundraising event in Washington, D.C., Biden introduced Pelosi with his usual rambling shtick, insulting her longtime Democratic colleague in the process.

“Nancy Pelosi is going to go down in history as one of the most consequential speakers in the history of the United States — (applause) — not merely because she’s a woman — because she’s so incredible. She’s such a —,” the president said before getting cut off by an audience member cheering.

“No, no — with Nancy leading the way, you never had to worry about whether the bill would pass. If she said she had the votes, she had the votes every time,” Biden continued, which followed applause before getting into his accidental insult, “And she had to vote so many lifechanging pieces of legislation. She helped rescue the economy in the Great Depression.”

However, history shows that the Great Depression lasted from 1929 to 1941. Pelosi was born in 1940 and is older than Biden at 83.

The embarrassing moment was caught on video and has gone viral on Twitter, with many users once again expressing concern over Biden’s advanced age.

“How sad,” one user commented. “His wife should be imprisoned for allowing him to be out there embarrassing himself! It’s elder abuse.”

“This stuff just keeps coming,” another user observed. “I might not have agreed with his position, but I am sure at some point, he was a proud, competent human.  But now, he is continuously humiliating himself, and I am stunned that his family doesn’t do more to preserve his dignity.”

This comes as officials continue to question the president’s physical and mental wellbeing, especially after announcing that he is running for reelection in 2024.

Voters are also showing serious concerns for Biden’s age and health, as an October survey found that 64 percent of Americans, including 50 percent of Democrats, said they were “concerned” about the president’s mental health.

Biden became the oldest individual ever elected to serve in the White House, and he could break the record should he win again in 2024.
