Former President Donald Trump is leading a four-way presidential race against President Joe Biden and independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, according to a new survey.

In a poll conducted by The Messenger and HarrisX, 38 percent said that they would support Trump, while Biden earned 35 percent, Kennedy with 13 percent, and West with 2 percent. 12 percent said that they were undecided.

Kennedy hasn’t been featured in many polls since he announced his independent candidacy earlier this month. He had previously sought to unseat Biden for the Democratic candidacy. There has been much speculation on which prominent candidate he will garner the most support from.

While independents were more split, members of both the Republican and Democratic parties overwhelmingly supported their respective candidates in the Messenger/HarrisX survey. Trump earned 28 percent support in the bloc, while 26 backed Biden, and 20 percent chose Kennedy.

In a separate three-way Harvard-Harris poll released last week, Trump received 39 percent of the vote, compared to 33 percent for Biden and 19 percent for Kennedy.

“As an Independent candidate, RFK Jr. pulls equal numbers of 2020 Trump and Biden voters and wins the lion’s share of undecided Independents, hurting Trump more than Biden in the process and thus making the horserace closer,” HarrisX CEO Drtian Nesho said.

The survey was conducted between October 16 and 23, among 3,029 registered voters, with a margin of error of only 1.8 percentage points.

This comes as Trump is currently leading in several polls across the country. According to The Economist and YouGov’s own survey, 51 percent are in favor of the 45th president, while DeSantis comes in second with 14 percent.

Around 1,500 U.S. adult citizens around earlier this summer were asked who they would vote for if “the Republican presidential primary in your state were held today.”

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy comes in a distant third with five percent. Haley comes in fourth with 4 percent, followed by former Vice President Mike Pence with 3 percent, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie with two percent, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with 2 percent.
