Biden Has Spent 40% Of His Presidency On Vacation

After being absent from the White House for nearly all of August, President Biden is drawing criticism for spending 40% of his working days “on vacation.”

Out of his 589 days in office, Biden spent 234 days on weekend trips and vacations, with 70% of those days being enjoyed at his residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Republicans see it as a winning campaign topic, combined with worries about the impact of Biden-era spending, such as the Democrats’ $1.9 trillion stimulus program last year and this year’s $437 billion environmental and health care program, according to RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to The Post.

According to McDaniel, voters want Republicans who genuinely go to work to help get the country out of Biden’s downturn, protect the border with Mexico, and stop wasting taxpayer money carelessly.

In regard to the upcoming midterm congressional elections, she said, “Soon, Democrats will be able to join Biden on his weekly vacations when Americans vote them out in less than 70 days.”

The RNC compiled a 19-month total of Biden’s travels, and it matches independent journalistic estimates. Days spent at Biden’s Delaware homes; days at the president’s retreat at Camp David, Maryland; as well as vacations to Nantucket, Massachusetts; and Kiawah Island, South Carolina; are all included in this period.

Biden’s itinerary was questioned, but White House spokesman Andrew Bates countered, stating, “The presidency is a nonstop job that chief executives can do from anywhere in the world.”

Although Biden’s personnel reject the claim that he isn’t working while on the trips, he is often out of the spotlight for the majority of his days away from Washington, DC, while spending time with his loved ones.

While transparency activists find Biden’s refusal to share visitor logs for sites other than the White House disturbing, they also claim that it discredits his administration’s self-praise for disclosing only a portion of the West Wing visitor logs.

In April, The Post received a statement from the Secret Service stating that they had been unable to find any traces of visitors to Biden’s Delaware property. The Post appealed that assertion under the Freedom of Information Act.

For more than ten years, Judicial Watch and the leftist organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington have been fighting in court for access to presidential visitor logs, including those from private houses, for more than ten years.

The White House points out that Biden frequently travels to Delaware and other locations with top advisors, and deputy White House chief of staff Jen O’Malley Dillon hinted at the president’s responsibilities in a recent statement in an effort to refute the idea that Biden is just taking some R&R.

The connections between the senior Biden and his son’s economic endeavors are frequently hazy. For instance, it’s unknown if they’ve talked about Hunter’s new artistic endeavor, in which he intends to make as much as $500,000 from unidentified buyers of his amateur paintings.

At a Hollywood art exhibition where Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, one of his father’s nominations for ambassador, was present, Hunter Biden made at least $375,000 for five prints.
